Bow Wow To Retire

Actor-rapper Shad Moss, aka Bow Wow, is focusing on acting full time.Moss has joined the upcoming fifth season of HBO's "Entourage" in a recurring role, playing Charlie, a new stand-up comic client of E (Kevin Connolly). Additionally, he has landed a role opposite Forest Whitaker and Isaiah Washington in the Weinstein Co.'s sports drama "Patriots," about a high school basketball team in post-Katrina Louisiana.
"After 16 years in the music industry and six successful [Face Off is up for debate - Scoop] albums, I've decided to shift my energy to something else I'm passionate about, acting," Moss said.
"I'm going to try to be the next Will Smith." Like Moss, Smith started off as a rapper before segueing into acting. Moss released a collaborative album last year with fellow recording star Omarion titled "Face Off." Later this year, he is set to return to the studio to work on his seventh album, titled "H.I.M. (History in Making)."On the acting side, he recently wrapped the indie "Driving Lessons" and has appeared in the features "Roll Bounce," "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift," "Johnson Family Vacation" and "All About the Benjamins."

Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z arrived at the Nice airport in France yesterday just in time for the Cannes festivities. Beyonce is also set to record the theme song for the new James Bond film, Quantum of Solace. Amy Winehouse was originally slated for the track, but producer Mark Ronson said work on the song has been shelved for the moment because Amy is not ready to produce music.

It'll Do That To You...
A man blaring a Mariah Carey song from his car stereo was arrested Saturday night after throwing a bottle at someone who didn't share his taste in music, according to deputies.
Zachary Alan Schreiber, 21, of 5750 Painted Leaf Lane in Golden Gate, was stopped at the light at Pine Ridge and Airport-Pulling roads around 10:30 p.m.
His music drew the attention of Mariah-hater William Greenman, 22, who called Schreiber a derogatory name [my guess is a flaming Mo -Scoop] for listening to the newlywed singer's music.
Profanities flew back and forth between Schreiber and Greenman, who was a passenger in the other vehicle, as the cars traveled west on Pine Ridge, deputies say.
When they again stopped at the Goodlette-Frank intersection, the war of words escalated. Deputies say the avid Mariah fan then hurled a beer bottle at Greenman.
Greenman ducked, but deputies say the bottle hit the car's driver, 21-year-old Christine Bec, in the side of the head.
Schreiber is charged with shooting a missile into a vehicle and criminal mischief.
